  • American Standard weld neck flanges are designed and manufactured according to American standards for connecting pipelines. They are welded to the pipeline and are suitable for numerous industrial fields, including petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, aerospace, shipbuilding, etc., especially for high-pressure, high-temperature, corrosive media, or pipeline systems with high sealing requirements.

    Standards

    American Standard weld neck flanges are mainly produced according to standards such as ASME B16.5. This standard specifies the requirements for flange dimensions, materials, pressure, and temperature ratings, ensuring dimensional and performance consistency of flanges produced by different manufacturers.

    Structural Features

    Neck Design: The longer neck enhances the strength of the flange-to-pipe connection, improves flange rigidity and load-bearing capacity, allowing for smoother fluid flow in the pipeline and reducing resistance.

    Multiple Gasket Face Types: Common types include raised face (RF), flat face (FF), male and female face (MFM), tongue and groove face (TG), ring joint face (RJ), etc. Different gasket face types are suitable for different operating conditions and sealing requirements, such as RF faces being widely used; FF faces facilitating anti-corrosion lining construction,

    suitable for low-pressure, low-temperature environments; tongue and groove faces are suitable for high-pressure, high-temperature pipelines.

    Material Selection

    Carbon Steel: Such as A105, etc., has good strength and economy, suitable for general industrial environments and low-temperature pipeline systems.

    Stainless Steel: For example, 304, 316L, 321, etc., has excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, often used in industries with high corrosion resistance requirements, such as chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and seawater treatment.

    Alloy Steel: Such as 12Cr1MoV, 12Cr2Mo1V, etc., has high strength and high-temperature resistance, suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature petroleum and chemical industries.

    Specifications and Dimensions

    Size Range: The nominal diameter is generally 1/2 inch - 24 inches, meeting the connection needs of industrial pipelines from small to large diameters.

    Pressure Ratings: Includes Class150, 300, 400, 600, 900, 1500, 2500, etc., 7 levels. Flanges of different pressure ratings are suitable for pipeline systems with different pressures and temperatures.
